Agenda:

You're new to usability testing or you are familiar through informal learning. Perhaps you missed a few crucial distinctions that can improve your facilitation skills and the quality of your tests. Maybe you need to learn essential usability testing skills in a hurry. This is the class for you!

Topic:

Many people conducting usability testing have read an article, a book or are self-taught. The problem with this do-it-yourself approach is that there is a tendency to miss key distinctions, techniques and issues that make your usability tests run smoother, get cleaner data and follow best practice. Many developers, product managers or business analysts lack the know-how for using this leading standard for testing software usability.

In this class we will answer these key questions and more: What kind of usability test should you do and how should you test?; What format of usability testing is best?; What should you say to the user and what should you never say or do?; How do you recruit users?; what data do you capture?; What do you need to know from those who do this every day?
